 My
family...they are the world to me!
Its said that ones best friends are one's parents and siblings.
I am lucky to have the most loving parents and the most
wonderful brothers and sister. You can choose your friends but
you cannot choose your parents and siblings...do I need to? or
can I choose any better?
We are three brothers and a younger sister. I'll be devoting
most of this page to talk about the most wonderful girl that I
know as my sister. Shilpi aka Ranu (as we call her...) is a
bubbly, buoyant, beautiful, loving and benevolent girl...if
those words can do justice to her! She loves her brothers very
much and she is the one who takes care of our parents all the
time, mostly that all of us three brothers are working away from
Lucknow.
My Parents...they
made me what I am today!
I cannot express my gratitude
to the selfless acts and innumerable sacrifices my parents made
to ensure that I always had the best in life. Even though not
strong financially, my father had me going to a convent school
for education. My mother gave up her promising career in
teaching, to ensure that our education and other needs are never
neglected! My mother taught English language and was Principal
at a Junior High school for girls before she left her job when
Neeraj was born. She decided it was more important to give her
children more time than anything else. My mother taught me well
till during my early days at school. My father loves reading and
I got that habit in me from him. He is a very learned man and he
loves to talk about his books! (now you know what to catch him
on!)
Pankaj...the eldest
among us!
Pankaj is my eldest brother. He is the
most humble of the lot, even though he is about four years elder
to me...he is still very receptive to the suggestions and ideas
of his younger brothers and sister. Married in 2001, he is the
one who is the closest to our parents in Lucknow. He is working
at UP Warehousing Corporation in Lucknow.
Neeraj...my middle
brother!
Born on Nov 29th, Neeraj is two years
younger to Pankaj and older to me by the same difference. Neeraj
is the one we consider the most mature among us, mostly because
of his cool temperament - he rarely lets his decisions get
influenced by emotions, as opposed to any of us. Always
studious, he had his education at Kendriya Vidyala, AMC Centre
school, Lucknow and went on to do Tool Room Engineering from
ITTUP, Lucknow (an institute highly reputed in India for its
Tool Room training). He is presently working with Schneider
Electric Pvt Ltd. in Nasik, Maharastra . I cannot close the talk
about him without mentioning Falguni. Fagu has been his long
time girlfriend, and they got married in January 2003. I must
add here, that this was another fine example of his cool nature,
as initially Fagu's parents were against the marriage (Fagu
happens to be a Gujrati damsel!) but in the end, my brother's
strong will power and perseverance had the better of their
objections to the marriage!
